Strengthening Community-District Relations
Building a better connection between the district and the community is important. The community often overlooks the district's successes and focuses too much on the negatives, while the district can be defensive. We need a stronger partnership where MISD staff can share their needs and receive innovative ideas and help, not just criticism. With over 29,600 children depending on us, let's work together to improve student outcomes and secure Midland's future.

Addressing Mental Health Needs
There's a backlog of open cases, and the district struggles to evaluate special needs kids within the required timeframes. With more cases of autism and ADHD, the district needs plans to quickly accommodate new requests for evaluations so every child can thrive in the classroom.
